The D-CAA association is run by volunteers only. We focus on two things: 1) stimulating research to ultimately find a cure and 2) supporting everyone who deals with the disease. A donation, big or small, helps us to work on these causes.
Vereniging D-CAA is recognized as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) by the Dutch government. An ANBI is a religious, philosophical, charitable, cultural, scientific or other institution that serves the public interest. Fortunately, the government considers such organizations important.
With the ANBI status, the tax authorities make it a little more fun for our D-CAA association. It offers you and us benefits. We as ANBI do not pay gift tax or inheritance tax on donations and gifts received. When you make a donation, and submit your tax return in the Netherlands, it is deductable.
